Communicating Technical Features to the Right Audience

OLYMPUS is introducing the new Telescopic Smoke Evacuation Pencil as part of its existing product portfolio. The Smoke Pencil allows for easy coagulation and cutting in the operating room and reliably extracts disruptive smoke. For this new product, a 3D film was to be created that clearly presents its features and also shows its compatibility with other Olympus products.

The photorealistic-looking 3D animation convincingly conveys the benefits of the Smoke Pencil. The film gives an overview of all its functions and its compatibility, for example with the ESG-410, for which FUSE produced a detailed in-service video last year.

To offer sales more options in times of reduced contact, FUSE also created an iOS app based on the Unity game engine, in which the Smoke Pencil can be experienced in 3D. Users can try out the Smoke Pencil's functions themselves, read informative texts, and thus try out the pencil live. A great new possibility for product presentations was born – entirely without the product or an on-site customer visit.
