Communicating Human Rights Policy Clearly and Effectively
For the Federal Foreign Office, a film was to be created that communicates the goals and priorities of German human rights policy clearly, accessibly and in an internationally understandable way. The task was to present a complex political subject in a way that makes universal human rights, concrete areas of action and Germany's worldwide engagement vivid and comprehensible. This included topics such as children's and women's rights, protection from torture and human trafficking, freedom of religion and belief, and the human right to water and sanitation.
The film shows how the Federal Foreign Office works worldwide to protect and strengthen human rights – in bilateral and multilateral relations, in international forums, through treaties, in exchange with civil societies and through concrete projects on the ground. To convey the content vividly, key priorities are explained using concrete examples, such as the commitment to children's rights, support for the reintegration of child soldiers, and engagement for access to clean drinking water and sanitation.
