On June 15, 2023, DESY, the research center for basic natural science research, invited everyone in Hamburg to experience the growing innovation ecosystem on campus.
In addition to DESY, the event "The Nerds and the Curious" also involved the initiative AUFBRUCH.Hamburg and the Start-up Labs Bahrenfeld.
Alongside exciting talks about innovations from various start-up companies, tours of the research grounds offered behind-the-scenes insights into DESY. Participation in creative workshops and pitch training was also on the agenda.
The event gave participants unusual insights into the world of the latest deep-tech solutions. It became clear how profoundly technology and science are shaping our future. The day, which was informative throughout, ended pleasantly with networking over music and snacks.
