The local, control-technology application for securing wind turbines was to be replaced by a web-based solution. Wind energy plant operators wanted more flexibility, simplified processes and higher security standards.

We developed the cloud-based solution IntelliCloud for secure access to wind energy plants. It brings together heterogeneous systems, implements a unified standard, and offers more flexibility, for example against the backdrop of remote work arrangements and different user groups.

IntelliCloud enables the individual assignment of access rights to wind energy plants. It also makes access controllable and traceable for the operator. This significantly simplifies meeting regulatory requirements – whether from the perspective of plant responsibility or in terms of critical infrastructure (KRITIS) considerations.

During development, we focused on further improving the user experience and implementing additional functionalities. Meeting a high IT security standard was also considered from the outset. This includes hosting with ISO 27001-certified providers and encrypted communication between the plant and the cloud.
