How can sales and communication channels be further digitalized while creating new incentives for customers to engage with the medical products? That was Olympus's question and the brief for us to develop ideas for the Telescopic Smoke Evacuation Pencil medical device.

Sales App Brings Medical Technology to Life
We developed an interactive instruction manual as a 3D tablet app. This makes technically sophisticated medical products controllable with your fingers in 3D space.
In the sales app, built on the Unity software, users can navigate through a realistic 3D model of the Smoke Pencil. Via touchscreen, it's possible to test the product's functions in real time. Just like with the real device, individual components can be moved or buttons pressed to trigger an action.
This kind of touch-driven presentation can be used as a sales app and offers numerous new possibilities in the field of eLearning. It is forward-looking for communicating complex technical devices. The app is currently on the shortlist for the COMPRIX Award.
